Born in 1936, lives and works in Paris, France.

He is part of the movement “Figuration Narrative”. From 1964 on, he creates progressively his language of images that are inspired from every day life: erotic fantasies, bicycle riding, walking the streets of Paris, having coffee in the Parisian bistros... utilizing his  superposition of images with scenes in different sizes, mixing one image with another and  giving us the sensation that they are three dimensional.

French visual artist Gerard GUYOMARD is a member of the “Figurative narrative” group. If the notion of voltage has an equivalent in painting, one surely finds it in the works of Gerard Guyomard. HIs paintings are full of optimism and humor. The canvases are luminous design, and as if dancing, draw us, with dynamic composition, into a whirlpool. They picture the erotocism of models in magazines and the eccentricity of rock stars. Mixed shapes, juxtaposed scenes scenes, & superimposed levels. “I need to tell myself my stories when I paint” And since his bond to the “Narrative Figuration” movement, this artist never ceased to tell us, not stories so much, as his own every day story.
